Deborah Fisher's Night Rainbow Collection

I was delighted to be asked to contribute to the launch of Deborah Fisher's Night Rainbow Collection, coming to you from Windham. I admit I borrowed this photo from the Dizzy Quilter's blog, since I started cutting my fabric up a little too quickly when it arrived.
Have you ever had that reaction when you're just a little too excited to get going?!
So, some of you are going to be surprised that I got that feeling from a collection that is absolutely outside of my box. You know how much I love batik and this is definitely very different from my normal attractions, but when I saw the initial digital images of this line, I knew it would be fun and I haven't been at all disappointed.

When Jenn Strauser asked me about joining this blog hop, I was on the hunt to refresh my Dream Box Quilt. I have always loved the simplicity of this one block quilt that makes use of a 24" block and lots of 2 1/2" and 4 1/2" cuts to create a very modern feel. It's one of those projects that, although I enjoy it, I also wanted to see it with darker and more vibrant fabrics.
Night rainbow just felt like the perfect way to re-approach this project. It also was a chance to downsize the project, so as I cut up my fabrics to redo the quilt, I chose to cut everything in half and make the whole quilt the size of one of the original blocks.

Here's a peek at pint sized Dream Box on the design wall before I added scrappy borders. I'm thrilled with how well the colors work together and the glorious pop of red with the dark blues and blue greens. It just looks luscious. I made this one to be a table topper, but now I'm imagining how great it would be to make it the original size and have it as a throw for my grey couch.

I chose a red variegated King Tut thread from Superior Threads to quilt this project. It has the strength to sit proudly on the surface of this fabric and beautifully accent the reds in this little table topper version of Dream Box.
I chose a lot of swirly, feathery designs and played with putting heart shapes in various places in the quilt. If you are looking to make add powerful quilting to this fabric, I definitely recommend a 40 weight thread or a 30 weight thread to add some strength to the quilting.

Here's the final result with the scrappy borders and the scrappy binding. I completely agree with Jenn Strauser that this line has some gorgeous binding fabrics. The striped examples cut on the bias are my favorite.
I'm so pleased with how well this design came together with Night Rainbow. Deborah Fisher has nailed the combination of darks with powerful pop out fabrics. I plan to add it to my Kitchen Table with a blue vase for my next dinner party!
Be sure to check out all the blogs in the hop and find out more about the strengths of this very well put together fabric line!

I went through your blog carefully and found it very informative and well written. Your simple explanation style really helps readers understand complex topics easily. It also reminds us how important it is to clearly understand the MajhiLadkiBahinYojana process so people can avoid confusion and complete things smoothly.

I really enjoyed reading about Deborah Fisher’s Night Rainbow Collection and how the colors and shapes seem to tell a story with every piece. When I was finishing a long school report on art last year I once relied on Professional law project editor to help me clean up my writing so my ideas made sense and looked tidy before I handed it in. It reminded me that good editing makes work shine.
I really enjoyed your colourful take on Deborah Fisher’s Night Rainbow Collection and how it pushed you to experiment outside your usual quilting style the way you described pairing darks with vibrant pops of colour made me think of my own creative pivots when learning new techniques, where the unexpected often yields the best results. While juggling deadlines last semester, I NEBOSH diploma assignment help resources became my quiet go-to for clear explanations that helped me plan my time better. Your project captures that same mix of curiosity and thoughtful craft that makes creative work so rewarding.
