Make this one in the colors of your favorite cocktail or make a few to gift!

ree

Finish the base by stitching the right side to the left.

Step 5:

Use the scraps of your chosen color to create circles in various sizes. I used Applipops to create my circles this time using all the shades of a Cosmopolitan

Watch my video on using Applipops to see how easy they are to use.

ree

Layout as many of your circles as you choose and show them spilling out of your martini glass. Play with your colors and arrangement until you enjoy them.

Stitch into place and voila! Your project is complete!

This week's blog is sponsored by Applipops! These great circle makers produce turned edge circles in no time at all.

Easy to use, if circles have eluded you, Applipops are a wonderful solution.

The simple design of Applipops makes them straight forward and a tool with no significant learning curve. Applipops take all of the difficulty of measuring, tracing, cutting, etc. out of the equation and make your process much faster.

This week, I'm delighted to be able to tell you that Applipops has provided us with 4 sets of their fabulous circle templates as prizes for you! To get your name in the jar for the drawing this week asll you have to do is comment on the Facebook post for this week's blog or comment on the Instagram post for this week's blog. I'll add your name to the jar and we'll be drawing on Thursday July 21!

We also have two new guest designers for you this week and I"m thrilled to introduce them to you!

Laura Strickland of Orange Blossom Quilt Design Studios has really caught my eye over the last year. I really love what she is making and how creative her brain is!

Her playful design work first got me excited with her Blowing in the Wind pattern and I have been hooked ever since.

Laura is bringing you another pattern with Applipops this week and based on the sneak peek she sent me earlier this week, I think you're going to love it! Be sure to visit her blog HERE to see the project she has created for you! Enjoy!

ree

I'm also delighted to be able to have Leanne Parsons of Devoted Quilter joining us this week!

Leanne creates beautiful work that often strikes me as so modern and approachable. Her designs are visually striking and range from beginner to intermediate skill levels.

I enjoy some of the very helpful tutorials she has on her website. I can definitely recommend.

Leanne is bringing you a fun scrappy 9 patch flower concept this week and you can check out her project HERE!

I hope you're taking joy in the Summer Scrap Elimination this year! I know I am having fun, not only with my own projects, but with those of our guest designers and the photos you all are sharing of your own scrappy projects coming together! I'll see you again next week with a new quilt project and two more fabulous guest designers!
